Por ello, la <strong>longitud de onda de los LiDAR<\/strong> se sit\u00faa principalmente en la parte del espectro electromagn\u00e9tico correspondiente al infrarrojo cercano (750 nm a 1,5\u00b5m).<\/p>\n<p>Esta gama se divide en dos partes: una de 750 nm a 1,1 \u00b5m y otra de 1 \u00b5m a 1,5 \u00b5m. Para el primero, el mejor material para el detector es el silicio, ya que tiene la mejor respuesta \u00f3ptica dentro de este rango. De hecho, la eficacia \u00f3ptica m\u00e1xima se sit\u00faa en torno a los 900 nm. A partir de ese valor, la eficiencia cae dr\u00e1sticamente cerca de 0, y por eso se suele utilizar otro tipo de material para longitudes de onda m\u00e1s largas (por ejemplo, ars\u00e9nico de galio (InGaAS)).<\/p>\n<p>No obstante, los InGaAs tambi\u00e9n funcionan para la longitud de onda de 900 nm con una buena eficiencia, pero el ruido intr\u00ednseco es mayor que en los de silicio.
