El principal proceso \u00f3ptico que se produce con la niebla es la difusi\u00f3n, mientras que en el caso de la lluvia es la dispersi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>En el primer caso, las mol\u00e9culas de agua dispersan la luz en todas direcciones. Por eso es posible ver el rayo l\u00e1ser. Toda esta difusi\u00f3n aumentar\u00e1 el ruido en los datos porque hace muy dif\u00edcil para el sensor LiDAR diferenciar las se\u00f1ales de retorno que est\u00e1 recibiendo entre los puntos del suelo y las gotas de agua. La limpieza del conjunto de datos en la fase posterior al tratamiento puede ser una tarea tediosa.<\/p>\n<p>En el caso de la lluvia, la luz s\u00f3lo se desv\u00eda por las gotas y ya no hay rayo l\u00e1ser recto. La luz reflejada no puede detectarse debido al efecto de desviaci\u00f3n.
