C&rsquo;est pourquoi la <strong>longueur d&rsquo;onde des LiDAR<\/strong> se situe principalement dans la partie proche de l&rsquo;infrarouge du spectre \u00e9lectromagn\u00e9tique (750 nm \u00e0 1,5 \u00b5m).<\/p>\n<p>Cette gamme est divis\u00e9e en deux parties : l&rsquo;une de 750 nm \u00e0 1,1 \u00b5m et l&rsquo;autre de 1 \u00b5m \u00e0 1,5 \u00b5m. Pour la premi\u00e8re, le meilleur mat\u00e9riau pour le d\u00e9tecteur est le silicium, car il pr\u00e9sente la meilleure r\u00e9ponse optique dans cette gamme. En effet, l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 optique maximale se situe autour de 900nm. Au-del\u00e0 de cette valeur, l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 chute drastiquement pour se rapprocher de 0. C&rsquo;est pourquoi un autre type de mat\u00e9riau est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement utilis\u00e9 pour les grandes longueurs d&rsquo;onde (par exemple l&rsquo;arsenic de gallium (InGaAS)).<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e9anmoins, l&rsquo;InGaAs fonctionne \u00e9galement \u00e0 une longueur d&rsquo;onde de 900 nm avec une bonne efficacit\u00e9, mais le bruit intrins\u00e8que est plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 que pour les cellules au silicium.
