Pour les <strong>chercheurs de l&rsquo;INFACT, la cartographie LiDAR repr\u00e9sente un outil d&rsquo;exploration essentiel pour une future industrie mini\u00e8re verte<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Richard Gloaguen<\/strong> dirige le d\u00e9partement des technologies d&rsquo;exploration \u00e0 l&rsquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hzdr.de\/db\/Cms?pOid=32948&amp;pNid=2423\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Institut Helmholtz pour la technologie des ressources<\/a> (qui fait partie du consortium HZDR Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf) \u00e0 Freiberg, et il est le coordinateur scientifique d&rsquo;INFACT.<\/p>\n<p>Gloaguen est le coordinateur scientifique d&rsquo;INFACT. Il souligne qu&rsquo;INFACT cherche \u00e0 soutenir la prospection mini\u00e8re technologiquement efficace qui fait appel \u00e0 des \u00ab\u00a0technologies de prospection innovantes, non invasives et pleinement acceptables\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>INFACT reconna\u00eet que \u00ab\u00a0malgr\u00e9 une demande croissante de ressources min\u00e9rales en Europe et l&rsquo;importance des mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res dans la production de technologies propres, il subsiste une s\u00e9rie d&rsquo;obstacles \u00e0 l&rsquo;exploration des mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res. Gloaguen, \u00ab\u00a0le projet a permis de d\u00e9velopper la g\u00e9ophysique par drone et l&rsquo;imagerie hyperspectrale, ainsi que de nouvelles techniques g\u00e9ophysiques a\u00e9roport\u00e9es telles que la gradiom\u00e9trie magn\u00e9tique \u00e0 tenseur complet et l&rsquo;\u00e9lectromagn\u00e9tisme \u00e0 basse fr\u00e9quence\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>INFACT a \u00e9tabli trois sites d&rsquo;essai ou de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence dans le sud, le centre et le nord de l&rsquo;Europe &#8211; en Andalousie (Espagne), en Saxe (Allemagne) et en Laponie (Finlande) &#8211; o\u00f9 les technologies sont \u00ab\u00a0\u00e9valu\u00e9es sur la base des performances juridiques, environnementales, sociologiques et techniques\u00a0\u00bb. Les trois sites de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tablis dans des r\u00e9gions o\u00f9 l&rsquo;exploitation mini\u00e8re joue d\u00e9j\u00e0 un r\u00f4le essentiel dans l&rsquo;\u00e9conomie locale, mais o\u00f9 la population reste pr\u00e9occup\u00e9e par les incidences sur l&rsquo;\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me.<\/p>\n<p>Ces sites couvrent un large \u00e9ventail de \u00ab\u00a0conditions g\u00e9ologiques, sociales et climatiques afin de garantir une grande vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de d\u00e9fis en mati\u00e8re d&rsquo;exploration\u00a0\u00bb. En Allemagne, la <strong>mine Geyer<\/strong> extrait de l&rsquo;<strong> \u00e9tain et du tungst\u00e8ne<\/strong>; \u00e0 <strong>Sakatti<\/strong>, en Finlande, le gouvernement a accord\u00e9 une licence d&rsquo;exploration pour la recherche de gisements de <strong>cuivre<\/strong>, tandis que <strong>Rio Tinto et Las Cruces<\/strong> sont des mines de cuivre actives dans le sud de l&rsquo;<strong>Espagne<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section de YellowScan a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9 pour cartographier le relief, fournissant une vue topographique en 3D, et a particuli\u00e8rement bien r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 identifier les zones situ\u00e9es sous la canop\u00e9e ou entre deux canop\u00e9es, explique Robert Zimmermann, ing\u00e9nieur \u00e0 l&rsquo;Institut Helmholtz. L&rsquo;utilisation de la cartographie LiDAR permet \u00e9galement d&rsquo;am\u00e9liorer et de corriger les donn\u00e9es provenant d&rsquo;autres capteurs, notamment magn\u00e9tiques et photogramm\u00e9triques.<\/p>\n<p>M. Zimmermann indique que le Mapper II de l&rsquo;institut a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9ploy\u00e9 pour recueillir des donn\u00e9es de recherche pendant environ deux ans sur deux des sites de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence (Allemagne, Espagne), ainsi qu&rsquo;en Namibie pour l&rsquo;exploration des terres rares et au Br\u00e9sil pour la caract\u00e9risation des r\u00e9sidus.<\/p>\n<p>En fin de compte, INFACT invite les acteurs de l&rsquo;exploration \u00e0 s&rsquo;orienter vers un impact environnemental minimal, en appliquant des technologies permettant de r\u00e9duire l&#8217;empreinte de l&rsquo;industrie sur l&rsquo;environnement.<\/p>\n<p>Plut\u00f4t que d&rsquo;importer des min\u00e9raux d&rsquo;outre-mer, l&rsquo;Europe peut explorer avec succ\u00e8s ses propres ressources naturelles d&rsquo;une mani\u00e8re plus durable. \u00ab\u00a0M\u00eame les voitures hybrides ou \u00e9lectriques, souligne Richard Gloaguen, ont besoin de cobalt, de nickel et de lithium dans leurs batteries, et nous utilisons de l&rsquo;argent et de l&rsquo;\u00e9tain dans les circuits de nos appareils mobiles. Ce que nous disons, c&rsquo;est que nous devrions avoir une exploitation mini\u00e8re responsable. Pour soutenir la mobilit\u00e9 \u00e9lectrique et l&rsquo;accord vert, nous devons abandonner les combustibles fossiles, mais pour accro\u00eetre l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9, vous aurez besoin de mat\u00e9riaux tels que le cuivre, l&rsquo;acier, etc. pour un parc \u00e9olien.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Leila Ajjabou<\/strong>, coordinatrice du projet INFACT, explique plus en d\u00e9tail : \u00ab\u00a0Nous pensons que l&rsquo;innovation technologique dans l&rsquo;industrie min\u00e9rale, motiv\u00e9e par la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d&rsquo;am\u00e9liorer les performances en fonction de crit\u00e8res sociaux, environnementaux, de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et d&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9, pourrait \u00eatre la r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 un secteur de l&rsquo;exploration prosp\u00e8re\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;exploitation mini\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e8re inexorablement de nombreux d\u00e9chets. Gloaguen note que \u00ab\u00a0deux choses sortent d&rsquo;une mine : le minerai et les d\u00e9chets. Bien que consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme sans valeur commerciale au moment de leur extraction, les stocks de d\u00e9chets peuvent encore contenir des mat\u00e9riaux rentables. Ceci, combin\u00e9 au fait qu&rsquo;ils sont compos\u00e9s de mat\u00e9riaux dynamit\u00e9s facilement expos\u00e9s \u00e0 la surface, en fait une cible facile pour l&rsquo;exploration et l&rsquo;extraction de mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res secondaires.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Selon Zimmerman, du point de vue de l&rsquo;enqu\u00eate, \u00a0\u00bb [&#8230;]<strong>Nous utilisons le<a href=\"https:\/\/www.yellowscan.com\/fr\/products\/mapper\/\"> Mapper II<\/a> pour avoir une id\u00e9e du volume de ces stocks. Nous utilisons \u00e9galement le LiDAR et d&rsquo;autres outils pour obtenir une tr\u00e8s bonne caract\u00e9risation g\u00e9om\u00e9trique. Cela peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 pour calibrer d&rsquo;autres capteurs, par exemple, pour le magn\u00e9tisme, nous avons besoin d&rsquo;une topographie extr\u00eamement pr\u00e9cise.<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Il ajoute : \u00ab\u00a0Le Yellowscan LiDAR est un outil inestimable pour caract\u00e9riser la g\u00e9om\u00e9trie des piles de stockage dans le monde entier.
