Dans le cadre de cette initiative, le NIVA a voulu \u00e9tudier les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes d&rsquo;herbiers marins, qui capturent et stockent de grandes quantit\u00e9s de CO\u2082. L&rsquo;objectif \u00e9tait d&rsquo;\u00e9tudier la quantit\u00e9 de carbone stock\u00e9e et de mieux comprendre les effets du climat et de l&rsquo;activit\u00e9 humaine sur ces habitats c\u00f4tiers submerg\u00e9s essentiels.  <\/p><p>Les m\u00e9thodes de surveillance traditionnelles n&rsquo;ont pas la r\u00e9solution n\u00e9cessaire pour les eaux c\u00f4ti\u00e8res dynamiques et peu profondes. Le Navigator a \u00e9t\u00e9 compl\u00e9t\u00e9 par les modules CloudStation Colorization et Terrain Classification, permettant un traitement intuitif des donn\u00e9es et une s\u00e9paration pr\u00e9cise de la v\u00e9g\u00e9tation et du fond marin. <\/p><p>Le syst\u00e8me s&rsquo;est av\u00e9r\u00e9 accessible et facile \u00e0 utiliser pour l&rsquo;\u00e9quipe de scientifiques et de techniciens, tandis que l&rsquo;assistance de YellowScan a fourni un retour d&rsquo;information opportun sur les r\u00e9glages des instruments et le d\u00e9pannage au cours de la Navigator<\/a> a fourni des densit\u00e9s de points de 70 pts\/m\u00b2 \u00e0 50 m AGL et de 125 pts\/m\u00b2 \u00e0 25 m AGL, avec des pr\u00e9cisions horizontales et verticales comprises entre 0,01 et 0,015 m en fonction de la hauteur de vol.<\/p><p>En utilisant la fonction de classification des terrains du <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yellowscan.com\/fr\/produits\/cloudstation\/\">logiciel YellowScan CloudStation<\/a>, le nuage de points brut a \u00e9t\u00e9 s\u00e9par\u00e9 en terre, surface de l&rsquo;eau, bruit de la colonne d&rsquo;eau et fond marin. Apr\u00e8s un nettoyage manuel, seuls les points du fond marin ont \u00e9t\u00e9 conserv\u00e9s et affin\u00e9s \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;un mod\u00e8le Random Forest, o\u00f9 l&rsquo;intensit\u00e9 des points est la variable la plus importante, afin de distinguer la v\u00e9g\u00e9tation du v\u00e9ritable fond marin (sable et roche). <\/p><p>Ce processus a permis de cr\u00e9er des mod\u00e8les num\u00e9riques de surface (MNS) \u00e0 haute r\u00e9solution du couvert v\u00e9g\u00e9tal et des mod\u00e8les num\u00e9riques de terrain (MNT) du fond marin, tous deux \u00e0 une r\u00e9solution de 10 cm. La soustraction du MNT du MNS a produit les premiers mod\u00e8les de hauteur de canop\u00e9e des herbiers submerg\u00e9s \u00e0 ce niveau de d\u00e9tail, ce qui a permis \u00e0 NIVA de quantifier le volume de l&rsquo;habitat et d&rsquo;estimer la capture du carbone dans la biomasse a\u00e9rienne. <\/p><p>Sur le plan scientifique, le Navigator a fourni des nuages de points d&rsquo;une densit\u00e9 sup\u00e9rieure d&rsquo;un ordre de grandeur \u00e0 celle des relev\u00e9s LiDAR a\u00e9roport\u00e9s, permettant une mod\u00e9lisation 3D sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent de la v\u00e9g\u00e9tation submerg\u00e9e. Le syst\u00e8me s&rsquo;est av\u00e9r\u00e9 pr\u00e9cis, reproductible, rentable et d&rsquo;utilisation intuitive, tandis que les outils de classification et de correction d&rsquo;intensit\u00e9 de CloudStation ont consid\u00e9rablement acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9 le traitement.
